A heitage of conspiracy?

It is very hard to believe that two presidents of the United States would allow Pearl Harbor AND 9/11 to happen just to further their own political goals. Those two claims make the rest of the book's contentions suspicious. It is a well written book, but I cannot believe everything the author claims in this book.

Not just another 'conspiracy theory' book

I disagree with the other reviewer with respect to 'conspiracy theories.' In my opinion, the author does an exemplary job of clearly noting which events are conjectural, and which are supported by evidence. For example, I've read elsewhere about the staggering evidence that suggests that FDR deliberately manipulated events to support his desire to enter the war. Indeed, Perni includes the detailed plan that was revealed under Freedom of Information that proves that the U.S. was deliberately backing Japan into a corner. I think this is a book should be required reading for every voter who is the least bit inclined to believe everything our so-called leaders tell us.
